Pityriasis rosea rash on the skin of a young female patient. This skin disorder is thought to be viral in origin. It starts with a single 'herald' patch that is followed, around 1-2 weeks later by a generalised outbreak of mildly to severely itchy patches. Local use of steroids and oral use of antihistamines can give relief from itching until the rash heals. This case began after vaccination for influenza (flu). | |
