Osteoma on the forehead of a Hispanic female patient. This is a benign (non-cancerous) bone growth that is typically found on the skull. They are slow growing and often asymptomatic. The cause is not known, but the growth may be a reaction to injury. Large osteomata, or those that are putting pressure on a nerve, may be surgically removed. | |
