Light micrograph of air bubbles captured in transparent candle gel. Candle gel is a clear, viscous combination of paraffin and mineral oil which can be burned similarly to candle wax. To produce these bubbles, the candle gel was heated, then poured into a beaker. Air was then injected into the gel using a syringe. | |
