The Lovell radio telescope at Jodrell Bank Observatory in Cheshire, UK, which was built in 1957 largely thanks to the efforts of radio astronomer Sir Bernard Lovell, after whom it is named. The antenna reflector has a diameter of 76 metres and it remains one of the world's largest fully steerable radio telescopes. | |
