Tokophyra are suctorians,sessile (sedentary) animals,ciliated only in the immature form,that catch free-swimming ciliates on the end of tentacles. The tentacles are then used like 'drinking straws' to transfer the contents of the prey to the predator. Magnification: x80 at 35mm size
