Head scan. False-colour magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of a human head containing a healthy brain (side view). The face is seen in profile. Tissues of the mouth,nasal cavity,and central nervous system are coloured. The convoluted cere- brum of the brain (at top) appears broken due to this scan "slice" being central and penetrating the fissure (furrow) that separates each cerebral hemisphere. Intelligent thought processes,memory and conscious movement are processed in the cere- brum. At ear level,the cerebellum (triangular area,red) is seen. The cerebellum is involved in determining body posture,balance and coordination of movement
