| Lagonda is a British luxury car manufacturer established in 1906. The company struggled financially in the 1930's and also after the second world war and was eventually taken over by David Brown in 1947. The business was merged with Aston Martin,which Brown acquired in the same year. The Lagonda V12 Le Mans was produced in the latter part of the 1930's. The Lagonda name has been used less frequently by Aston Martin over the last half century but the company did produce the Rapide in the early 1960's and the Aston Martin Lagonda between 1976 and 1989. 25 years later,in 2014,the company produced the Lagonda Taraf,which is still in production.
