Colour-enhanced SEM of fibers made from milk protein. Milk fibers are manufactured from skimmed milk by reacting casein in it with acrylonitrile to produce a liquid suitable for spinning. Milk protein fiber has passed Oeko-Tex Standard 100 green certification for international ecological textiles. It is easily dyed with bright colours. The milk protein fiber can be spun alone or with cashmere,silk,spun silk,cotton,wool,ramie and other fibers. Milk protein fiber is comfortable for human skin. It can be used to make top-grade underwear,shirts,T shirts,loungewear,etc. There are several brands of milk fiber such as Aralac,Lanatil and Merinova. Image width: 182.8 micrometers.
