Magical hand' from a Roman temple covered with symbols to 'avert the evil eye'. A ram's head,representing Jupiter,lies above the figures in the wrist. Offerings rest in front of the ram's head for good fortune. A dualistic statement is represented on the fingertips displaying a destructive cockatrice and a lustral pine cone used in Dionysiac ceremonies. (2nd century AD.)
