Two immature insects share a pollen meal on a Southwestern Prickly Poppy (Argemone pleiacantha). The grasshopper on the left has not yet grown its adult wings and the katydid nymph on the right appears to only be in its second instar,with about three more instars or moults before becoming an adult. While the insects enjoy their meals they are also performing the important service of pollination to the poppy
