Eland cows (Taurotragus oryx). The eland is the largest antelope in the world,measuring up to 1.7 metres to the shoulder. It inhabits grass plains,scrub and woodland in sub-Saharan Africa. It feeds on grasses,roots and tubers,which it digs up with its hoofs,and leaves. If lower parts of a tree are bare,it uses its horns to bring higher branches into reach.
