Giant tun shell. View of a giant tun shell (Tonna galea),a type of snail. It lives in warm areas of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans,as well as the Mediterranean Sea,and can grow up to 25 cm in size. Tun shells are carnivorous,killing or paralysing their prey by injecting them with sulphuric acid through their jaw plates. The snails then tear chunks of flesh from their victims
