This rocket was designed by the German military research team at Kummersdorf,led by Walter Dornberger and Wernher von Braun. Its first launch was in December 1937,but later launches were a failure. The A-3 was the third in the Aggregate series of rockets,developed from 1933 to 1945. This research program culminated in the A-4 rocket,more commonly known as the V-2,which was used in World War II |
