| Radiotherapy. Radiographer prepares a patient for radiotherapy. She is aiming laser cross-hairs onto the site of a brain tumour. The patient's head is held in place by a plastic mask,which also protects healthy cells from the radiation. Once targeted,a radiotherapy machine will focus radiation at the tumour. The radiation will stop the tumour's growth and hopefully destroy it. Brain tumours are abnormal growths in or on the brain that may or may not be cancerous.
