| Emergency blood delivery. Lights of an emergency blood-delivery vehicle. Blood is obtained from donors and stored until it is required. It is used to replace blood lost in an accident or during an operation. A patient losing large amounts of blood is in danger of dying,and emergency vehicles are used to rush blood supplies from a blood bank to the patient. The emergency vehicles are also used to transport rare types of blood,and organs for transplant operations,to the required location.
