MODEL RELEASED. Heart surgery leg scar on a 67-year-old man who has undergone a coronary artery bypass operation. The operation involved making this long incision to remove (harvest) a vein from the leg. Part of it was then grafted on to the patient's heart. The grafted vein acts to bypass a blockage in a coronary artery of the heart. These coronary arteries supply oxygenated blood to the heart,and blockages can cause angina pectoris (heart pain) or a heart attack. Photographed 2 weeks after the operation
