MODEL RELEASED. Jaundiced eye of a 61-year-old man suffering from hepatitis A. This is a viral disease that results in inflammation and damage to the liver. Symptoms include jaundice,a yellowing of the skin and eyes caused by an accumulation of the yellow-brown bile pigment bilirubin. This in turn is due to failure of the liver to remove this and other substances from the blood. Recovery should occur after a few weeks of bed rest and a nourishing diet
