MODEL RELEASED. Infected eczema rash in a 21 year old man's eyebrows. Eczema is an inflammation of the skin that causes flaking,itching and the development of small blisters. If the itch is scratched too much it may become infected. This eczema has become infected with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. Eczema may be caused by allergic reactions to some materials or drugs,although the majority of cases have no known cause. Soothing ointments may relieve the itching,but treatment should be aimed at the underlying cause. The infection can be treated with antibiotics
