Sarcomas (grey) are malignant (cancerous) tumours in the body's connective tissues (brown). Connective tissues include muscles,blood vessels,nerves and fat. Sarcomas are a rare type of cancer that is often hard to detect. Treatment is generally with surgery to remove the tumour,although radiotherapy or chemotherapy may be used first to shrink the tumour
