The sample tubes have been placed in ice to control their temperature. The four DNA chemicals or bases are adenine (A),thymine (T),guanine (G) and cytosine (C). In DNA molecules these link to form a long chain of two intertwined strands. DNA contains a creature's genetic informtion.
