Frosty landscape. Railway line running across a misty and frosty rural landscape. Mist forms when moist air is cooled. The cooler air cannot contain as much water vapour as warmer air,and some of the water condenses out as water droplets that are seen as mist. When the ground temperature falls to below the freezing point of water, water freezes on the ground and on other surfaces. This forms a covering of ice crystals that is called frost. The trains that run on this railway line are powered by the overhead cables that run between the pylons seen here | |
