Educational astronomical chart. 19th-century text and diagrams concerning the solar system and its known planets,titled 'An Astronomical Chart for Juvenile Instruction'. The headings in the text include the Sun,comets,the Moon,and the planets Jupiter,Saturn,Uranus (here also called Herschel after its discoverer),Venus,Mars,Mercury,and one of the largest asteroids Pallas. The text about the Sun,stating that the Sun is much larger than the Earth and the other planets,includes an underlined passage stating that the Earth was once thought to be the centre of the universe. This chart is part of an 8-page booklet published in 1839 by G. M. Skinner
