Deperdussin monoplane,historical diagram. This early aeroplane was designed by the company founded by French industrialist Armand Deperdussin. The designs were by French engineer Louis Bechereau. Their first major success was the Type A Deperdussin 1910 monoplane,which led to a succession of similar designs. It was 7.24 metres long and had a wingspan of 8.76 metres. It could reach a top speed of around 90 kilometres per hour,holding several speed records.
