In 1802,Andre-Jacques Garnerin ascended in his balloon from the Volunteer Ground in Grosvenor Square and made a parachute descent to a field near St Pancras. Two diagrams,The balloon which Mr Garnerin ascended from the volunteer's parade,North Audley Street,Grosvenor Square,to the height of 8,000 feet,and the parachute by which he descended into a field,near St Pancras' Church,21 Sept. 1802.
