The internal elastic lamina,the innermost layer of tissue in a blood vessel,is red. Smooth muscle cell nuclei are blue and actin,part of the cytoskeleton is green. Narrowed arterioles lead to a lack of oxygenated blood flowing to heart muscle,which in sever cases can lead to a heart attack (myocardial infarction) | |
