Chloride chemistry. Chlorides are compounds that contain chlorine (Cl). From left-right these are the chlorides of elements from period three of the periodic table: sodium chloride (NaCl),magnesium chloride (MgCl2),aluminium chloride (Al2Cl6),all solids.
