| Typical coastal tundra vegetation. Tundra vegetation is essentially treeless,and is found in areas north of the taiga (pine-type forest) regions of N.America,Europe and Asia. It is dominated by lichen and grass,as seen here,but may also contain mosses,dwarf shrubs and herbaceous perennial plants.
